16 new cases of COVID-19 in Williamson County

16 new cases of COVID-19 have been announced in Williamson County by the Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department on Wednesday.
Females: Two in their 20’s, one in their 40’s, two in their 50’s and one in their 60’s.
Males: One teenager, three in their 20’s, two in their 30’s, three in their 40’s, and one in their 60’s.
The individuals are thought to have been exposed to the virus most likely due to local contact and healthcare exposure.
32 new cases and one death were reported on August 11 by the organization.
There have been a total of 13678 Williamson County residents tested and 454 positive results according The Illinois Department of Health.
The World Health Organization recommends taking simple precautions to reduce chances of being infected or spreading the virus. Such as washing your hands, wearing masks in public spaces and to seek medical attention if you develop any symptoms.
